What is Yin?

You might have seen our yin yoga classes on the schedule and wondered what "yin" yoga is.

Yin yoga is a slow form of yoga, where you will be guided into poses, supported by props, to enable you to find a "comfortable edge" and go deeper into a pose.

You'll likely find that your body will release tension in yin yoga, but it is also likely that your mind will feel calmer, and that you will sleep a lot deeper after practising yin.

We offer two weekly yin classes, which are slightly different, so try them both and see what you think!

Tuesdays @ 7.30pm

Yin & Sound with Louise

Louise will guide you through a 45 minute yin yoga session before setting you up for a 30 minute long deep relaxation accompanied by the beautiful sounds of her Tibetan bowls, chimes and the gong.

Fridays @ 1.30pm

Yin with Lynne

This one is a lunchtime class so it's a bit of a reset, find some stillness in the body and the mind before returning to your day.
